STARGAZING IN FRÓMISTA
Astrotourism activity for all audiences
The activities consist of a field trip for stargazing with specialized monitors from the Starlight Foundation. They include the following:
- Astronomical talk on giant screen
- Observation with professional telescopes
- Star Walk of constellations, myths and legends of the sky
Dates of activities 2023:
- June 16
- July 7 and 21
- August 4 and 14
- September 2
The activity lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
Prices: adults 20€ and children 15€ (children under 5 years old free)

Discover Palencia Association To perform the activity is not necessary to stay at the hotel.

II ASTRONOMY CONFERENCE IN FRÓMISTA - 14 AND 15 JULY 2023
The conference will be held in Frómista and soon we will know the programmed activities.
The activities are free and suitable for all audiences, both for people who are already fond of observing the sky and for those who have never done it before. The conference is organized by the City Council of Frómista, with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Palencia, the Santa Maria del Castillo Foundation, the Eco Hotel Doña Mayor and the Hotel Oasibeth.
Lodging with Starlight Seal
We are a hotel with the Starlight certificate. This means that we have signed the "Declaration on the Defence of the Night Sky and the Right to Starlight" and we also offer star tourism, i.e. the possibility to observe the sky with telescopes and guided activities.
In 2022 we received the Starlight Foundation Recognition in the category of Starlight International Starlight Awards in the category of Starlight Accommodation, for the support and dissemination of astrotourism during the year 2021..
During the year we offer several guided activities for you to enjoy the night sky of Frómista. In the meantime, come and we explain you where to go when the sun sets and what you will discover in the sky. We lend you our telescopes, binoculars and informative material, totally free of charge. We assure you that it will be an experience that you will recommend to your friends. All you have to do is reserve a room and let us know so that we have everything ready when you arrive.
