Summer in Palencia: canoeing and other aquatic activities

This riverbed offers a wide variety of activities as it passes through our province: water activities such as canoeing or paddle surfing, tourist boat trips to learn about its history, bicycle routes, hiking routes, bird watching, visits to old flour mills and museums, etc.

If you are looking for a water activity for families or friends, motorboats on the Canal de Castilla can be the best plan.

At the dock of the Canal de Castilla in Palencia you can rent these electric tourist boats, along with the Water Museum (which is free and worth a visit). They have a capacity for 5 people per boat and visitors are accompanied during the trip by specialized personnel for the handling of the boat.
